A photomicrograph of leukemia cells using Direct Fluorescent Antibody staining technique (DFA).
Using this staining technique, fluorescent dye is attached to the known antibodies that correspond to the suspected antigen. These antibodies will in turn attach to the antigen molecules, if present, and fluoresce when viewed with a fluorescent light.
