This micrograph depicts an egg packet from the cestode Dipylidium caninum.



Dipylidium caninum proglottids contain such characteristic egg packets that are round to ovoid in shape, and each containing 5-15 or more eggs. When the proglottids disintegrate, they thereby, release their egg packets.
